Lifetime Youth Wave Kayak with Paddle

I love this kayak. I like the features, the console, the nets, little storage areas.
It woulda be nice if the storage areas were waterproof. Cup holder in console is nice but could be deeper. It's would be nice if there was a place for your cellphone and it camera. Carry handles should be a must.

Are you an avid fisherman? Then look elsewhere and spend more or you will not only be disappointed but will also have wasted your money. Are you an avid touring kayaker? Same. How about a fitness paddler looking for reasonable performance? Ditto. What if you are a beginner with aspirations for any of the afore mentioned uses? Save your money and spend a bit more on a nice used kayak designed for what you want to do. So what the heck is this thing good for and why 4 stars? Because all some people want to do is tootle around at the shoreline of their favorite swimming hole. This is a good boat for doing that. If it were a little more durable and a tad longer I'd give it 5 stars. If you are petit or you are purchasing this for your pre teen kids and plan on limited use then give it 5 stars. Kayaks are one of the most specialized craft on the water. This one is no different. It specializes on being cheap. It's not going to last a lifetime of heavy use, track and glide extremely well, or let you easily attach all kinds of fishing gear to it; but.... if all you are looking for as an adult is a cheap kayak to tootle around in close to shore, float down a lazy river (without a lot of rocks and hazards to run into), or something to take the kids out in then this boat will not disappoint. For that purpose and under $200 you can't go wrong.

The tracking is great, seat is so comfy, track mounts are helpful. Overall great value and smooth stable ride.

We recently purchased this kayak and went on a family adventure with it - 2 adults and 2 children (5 and 6 years old). 3 people fit comfortably, our son (5) had to sit between mom's legs in the front - not too bad. The kayak seems to track fairly straight and we did not have any trouble with propulsion or navigation and this was the first kayak experience for any of us - Daddy (6', 210lbs) sat in the back seat and did 90% of the paddling with no issues. One thing to note is that this kayak is huuuge and fairly heavy/awkward - with that said, I am able to load/unload it by myself on top of the minivan to transport. I feel that due to the size of this kayak longer paddles are required. We bought the recommended lengths based on my wife and my heights, but they seemed too short. We are heading back to get longer paddles now. Definitely a good time and well worth the price.

Great for fishing and floating on calm waters, very good tracking. I upgraded from another brand of kayak and I wish I had done so sooner!

I bought this neon green kayak 2 weeks ago. My friend bough thr Lifetime kayak. We took 2 trips in the Potomac River this past weekend. I am a petite gal, this kayak was a perfect fit for me! It was stable, fast, and easy to navigate. It was faster then my friends Lifetime. It did very well in light surf. I would highly recomend this kayak. The only issue we ran across was the back handle snapped eaisly. I will replace it with a sturdy screw in replacement strap. I am thinking about buying another one for my 10 yo son.

This is the second set I have bought, one for here and one for up North. Perfect and comfortable size. I can fit both on top my ford escape 05 with rachet straps. Decently light.

Bought this boat on sale for a great price and it's a solid kayak. The only important thing missing is a paddle keeper.

I have never been in a kayak before and I felt extremely stable and comfortable.
My husband loved it so much that I think we'll be buying a 2nd one!
