Rod holder was not screwed down properly. I un-screwed the rod holder, and screwed it in properly, and it is fine. Another review said \"check everything when you receive it because they have a quality control problem\". That review was correct. Based on that advice, I just checked the canoe, and found the incorrectly installed rod holder. The drain plug was too tight, and I had to use a screw driver as a lever to get it to open. No problem, but it is a good idea to figure where the issue are before getting on the water. No scupper plugs, so buy them before getting on the water (or foam golf balls). Will do another review after being on the water the first time. But I have a good feeling about this. Milk crate with rod holders seems to fit finein the back. I will probably get install a cleat in rear well to tie off an anchor in a low tech/simple manner. I will get a rivet tool at Harbor Freight to install. Look forward to trying out the framed seat; I hope it will improve my comfort. This was the main reason from upgrading from my 8 foot Sun Dolphin. The 2nd reason was the 2 rod holders and ability to put a crate with more rod holders in the rear well.

Do your research and understand where/how you want to use it.

Bought this a month ago but haven’t got chance to use it as of yet.

Exactly what we were looking for. Very stable, lots of open bow room for the dog, and easy to maneuver. Fits my girlfriend and her 75 pound German Shepherd very well. Overall, great product.

Bought this Teton 100 about a month ago, and man is it worth the money. The seat is amazing for fishing all day. I tournament fish with my kayak, so needed a solid seat. Its roomy and will hold all your gear.
I added a Engel 19 quart cooler to the rear that has four rod holders, added an anchor wizard system, and it does everything you could need it to.
Don't hesitate to buy this kayak!JK*****an
This is a great little kayak for someone that is just getting started or doesn't need a deluxe/luxury model. My 12YO daughter, who is just a little too big for a kids/youth kayak and will only get bigger in the next couple years, saved her money for a kayak and after a LOT of shopping around, we settled on this model because of it's balance between price and amenities. The seat is comfortable and adjustable. The foot blocks are not adjustable and my kiddo says one is too far and the next one is too close, but that will change as she gets taller, I'm sure. The cargo area on the back is handy and there's a net under the forward deck to put stuff that needs to stay somewhat dry. The hull is flat in the middle, to allow for stability for inexperienced paddlers but also allows the boat to sit upright on the beach or on a flat roof rack (which means it doesn't need the v-shaped add-ons most kayaks require to sit on the roof). The bow and stern fade to a pointed keel and give some assistance to a straight tack if you have even strokes when you paddle. If there is a breeze, a current, or you're not used to even paddling, you'll have a bit of a hard time staying in a straight line (which is normal for beginner models like this).
The construction is durable and my daughter loves going out into the water with it. I could see someone using this on lakes and calm rivers, but I wouldn't recommend using it in fast water or the ocean (it's not really made for that but I thought I'd say it).
We bought the Onyx MoveVent Dynamic Life Vest and the Field & Stream Chute Aluminum Kayak Paddle in a matching color. We also bought the Malone HandiRack Inflatable Roof Rack, which has been terrific since our SUV didn't come with a roof rack and I haven't wanted to spend the money on one yet.Bob******ob
For what it is its great. It's not super fast but it's very comfortable, lightweight to carry and lets beginners do just about anything. It would be very very hard to tip this over.

We bought a couple of kayaks for tooling around our local Finger Lakes in NY State. We got the Mustang and the Blitz. The sit-on-top model is much better for boating with a dog, but the sit-in model tracks well. Both models are very stable. Highly recommend. Would buy again!

It's at the lower end in terms of price but it tracks well, is easy to propel, and the seat was comfortable enough to go on a two hour paddle around the lake so no complaints. After our initial experience with them, we decided to two more for guests to use when they come to visit.
