Old Town Vapor 10XT Kayak

I bought this kayak for my son. He’s 8 so I thought the size and weight would be perfect for him. However, he doesn’t feel steady because the seat is so high, and has a hard time controlling it due to its short length and light weight. He does better with my longer and heavier sit in kayak.
I however, being 6’-4” and 200 lbs, find it rather comfortable and easy to maneuver. It’s not the best kayak out there, but, the price makes it impossible to beat. It doesn’t track as easy or fly through the water like my others, but this kayak was 1/3 the price and has a better seat. If this kayak is all you can afford, don’t feel bad, you’re getting a great kayak that won’t disappoint. and my 5 year old loves it too

So far I love this kayak. I’ve only been out a couple times as of this review but it tracks well and is easy to load and unload by myself. The only complaint I guess is have is it’s not as stable as I was expecting hoping but still great. I can stand up in it but don’t think you could fish standing up. Overall I’m happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.

Very happy with our Rambler tandem. Very stable, comfortable, and even has a bonus seat in the middle. I saw many reviews that the seats were uncomfortable. I disagree personally, but haven’t compared too many. In my opinion they were fine, just the latches were a little fragile, (one broke as I was loading the kayak into my truck the first time). Anyways, it tracks and paddles well, and for under $600, I’d say you can’t go wrong. Maybe the plastic could be a little thicker? And it’s not lightweight by any means, but this it’s to be expected for a molded plastic kayak at 13.5 feet. It arrived with a blemish, but Dicks gave me a generous credit.

I bought a sun dolphin from Walmart and i couldn’t paddle without spinning out so I returned it and picked this kayak up. This thing is sick bruh. Hella stable if you’re over 200 pounds. Get it!

I just recently bought myself my husband and my son these kayaks I watched several video reviews and thought this would be the right one for our family! I bought a blue one and 2 brown ones! I have had zero trouble out them they are extremely comfortable plenty of room for my fishing stuff I purchased a few extras for our yaks, fishing rod holders, cup holders, and a crate to hold my tackle and other fishing stuff! I was on debate between this one or one with the cup holders and swivel rod holders and the seat sold me on this one! Been taking them out and have loved every second in them my youngest children ride in front of me or my husband and they are great! They are super stable too and easy for the kids to jump in and out of at the lake without needing help! I convinced my husband we needed kayaks and took him for his first time in these and he fell in love we are hooked you won’t find a better kayak for your money!

I got this for my Beautiful wife for her Birthday and let me tell you it was the BEST thing I could have done...She loves it...She is new to the sport and she was like a little girl on Christmas morning when she got it, I picked up Matching paddles to go with it...VERY well made and very light in weight at only 36 pounds...Easy to load and unload from our car and she is even able to do it herself for those days when she wants to go out with her girlfriends on the lake...My wife and I are very happy to own this and you we be too if you decide to buy one!!! I bought this for my son. And he is going to enjoy it when the weather gets nicer.

Weighting under 40lbs this kayak is awesome, easy to paddle and good looking, 2 fishing pole holders and the removable bag that is so convenient. The cellphone holder is a nice perk as well.

Bought just before Father's Day to upgrade from our inflatable kayak. Comfortable and so much easier to paddle. Simple to store and not too heavy to move by myself. Ended up trying to buy a second one but it was already sold out!
