I purchased this kayak for a family member who didn't like the sit in kayak. I was worried that sit on tops would rock easily on the water but I have to admit, it is so stable. I even tried rocking the kayak side to side and it would be very hard to tip it over. I rate the kayak a 4 because it doesn't have adjustable foot pegs and the seat could be a little more comfortable like another brand I researched. I still went with this product because you can't beat the price for the stability of this kayak.

I bought this about a month ago and I have been kayaking every weekend since. It's a great starter kayak and zips through the water swiftly. Tracks well and is stable. I recommend this kayak because it is affordable and you don't have to spend a fortune to find out whether kayaking is for you. I am rating product as good only because the seat is not as comfortable as another brand I sat in. Make no mistake, I have spent over 4 hours on the lake and the seat was still comfortable.

I got this as a father's day gift and took it out on it's maiden voyage yesterday. I went in the North Tampa Bay and about 500 yards into the Gulf of Mexico in 2 foot seas and heavy boat wake and never once did I feel like I was going to get dumped. Tracked well, moves along nicely, and was easy to maneuver. I was able to stand with a little effort. Mostly due to my size and age. The leash strap adjuster clip broke so once I got up and figured out how to balance myself I didn't need or use it anymore. Overall this will be a great yak to fish from.
The seat was comfortable enough to sit in for over 8 hours set on the high seat position. I'm 6', 245 and had plenty of room for my legs and gear. The dry storage was dry as a bone, scupper holes worked as they should, etc.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy this product again.Jo****98

Bought this for the wife, 5'6\" to see if she likes to kayak, now she races across the lake leaving a wake, she also fishes from it but it lacks a rod holder

Bought this during the Memorial Day sale.
I was looking for a kayak that tracked well and wasn't expensive that my wife could use. After reading a few reviews I was pretty sure this one fit the bill.
We took our boats out and it preformed very well. Stayed straight and didn't sink, perfect!
It is set up as a fishing kayak and has some handy features, like built in rod holders and a pouch. It is also lighter than my Perception sit on top.
Cons. The pouch isn't water proof and on this trip we took it out to make room for a cooler. The rear compartment doesn't have scupper holes to self bail. Not a big deal, it didn't take on very much water. Just a little from paddling. Those would be a nice upgrade.
While paddling you will undoubtedly get some water in the boat but hey, you're on the lake expect to get wet. It wasn't an issue.
It does seem a little slower than my Perception Pescador. I think this is due to the keel or the rudders being so much wider. You may be able to see it in the pics.
It comes with toggle handles that aren't as user friendly as strap handles. The slack in the rope allows the boat to swing side to side during transport. Again not a big deal I'll probably add a side strap as the boat is light enough for my wife to easily carry by herself.
Overall for the money you get a good kayak that won't do 180's on you every time you stop paddling. It's light and easy to use. Ready for a fun day out on the water.mt****n
I bought 2 of these kayaks, and I am 100% happy with my purchase.
