Have taken out twice. It's simple, light, and floats like it's supposed to. :) bought 2. One for wife and one for me. She likes. It's a tight on the knees being 6' 1\".

I live in a small lake community and got this kayak as my first “real” kayak (I’ve had a two-person inflatable to use for my young son and I for the past couple summers, but had never used or owned a hard shell kayak before). In fairly calm waters, I found this kayak extremely easy to use. It tracks fairly straight and moves more quickly than I expected after a couple years of paddling the inflatable, which was a little cumbersome. Today I even went out with my seven-year-old son using his own child-sized kayak and had to tow him occasionally when he would get tired. Even with a rope attached to me, pulling a 60-pound kid along on his kayak, the Pelican held a pretty straight path and moved well! I haven’t been out in any high wind or very choppy waves, but for my purposes - light recreation - this kayak does what I need it to, and the sale price was a great deal!

In regard to cosmetic and physical features of the Pelican, I find the seat comfortable and like that the angle is adjustable to your back support preference. There is plenty of storage with the included bag and built-in well, though I don’t think either would keep items completely dry in rougher/wetter conditions. Rubber bumpers on either side of the cockpit keep your calves/thighs from getting banged up or scraped on the plastic edge. The cell phone bay and elastic strap is a nice touch (though you want to be sure to waterproof your phone). It is under 40 pounds, and, though it may be a little awkward, I am able to lift it onto the roof racks of my small SUV without help. (I am a 5’4”, 150 lb female with limited upper body strength.) The only thing I feel it’s lacking is an upright cup holder - it does have a horizontal space for a water bottle, but there’s no great place for an open can/cup or a beverage with a lid/straw set-up.

This kayak is a great choice for fishing or just paddling around. It's very stable and easy to maneuver. The seat is very very comfortable, especially if you're used to the seats that are molded into other sit on tops. Highly recommend this kayak!

I am very happy with my kayak. It went through the water straight and swiftly.

We bought 2 last year & another this year. The first 2 have been on multiple river trips & we absolutely love them!

We purchased two Lifetime Angler Titon 100's in the Spring - we love them - we are beginners - seniors - and we have progressed so much in one season! Boats are super comfy and handle very well - yes they are built for comfort - not speed. We toppled them last week in Chincoteague channel due to waves and wake from speed boats - and we lost the seats, I had failed to buckle them on. Lifetime is replacing them free of charge and shipping expedited so we get them before our next expedition in 9 days. We don't fish - but we LOVE these yaks!

Truth be told, I need a Kayak in a pinch, and this Trailblazer was on sale (and way less than I anticipated it would be). We have been kayaking for years and owned or rented boats off all ranges, and this Trailblazer, although not the greatest, performed well enough for a beginner and for anyone on flat water for the fun of boating!!!
It performed well (with the dog in it), and handled well on mildly choppy lake water. Turns well, traks straight, and floats well with a decent water line...

We bought two of these and we've had them out 7 or 8 times. My wife wanted an inflatable and I just said \"No, I'm not paddling around in a floatie\". She's glad we got these instead. Actually, she loves her kayak! Good thing we bought two or we would have been fighting over one. ;-)
They track pretty straight depending on your paddling technique as I've found out.... Very stable. Haven't tipped one over yet with many hours of boating but bought a dry box for my cell just in case.

great kayak for the price. very stable and easy tracking in the water. comfortable seat plus feet pegs inside at variable settings to keep you back in the seat. spent little over two hours going down river and never felt uncomfortable.
