This is a nice solo kayak for the novice like myself. I feel very comfortable and steady. The only thing we had an issue with was figuring out how the seat works. It comes from the manufacturer clipped onto the kayak backwards and then the instructions are not clear as to how to assemble it so it has suspension. We figured it out, but even the sales rep at the store offered to sell us a stadium seat to go in the bottom for extra padding. The straps on the bottom are to suspend it so that you’re not riding on the hard plastic. Someone needs to educate the store sales people about this. They’re selling stadium seats needlessly. The description of the kayak talks about the suspended seat but difficult to figure out how it works. And we still don’t exactly understand how the two little bungee straps work on the back of the seat.

I was looking for a lightweight kayak with solid features. This is it.

This is a good recreational tandem. I like that you can use it as a single or a tandem. It doesn't come with lots of bells and whistles but the seats are decent and you can set add extras easily.

My husband and I bought two of these about a week ago and are in love with them! I was sort of on the fence about buying a sit on top kayak, but after using it I can't go back to a sit in! It drain pretty much any water you get in it so fast and it's easy to get in and out of without tipping over. It's a great way to get exercise and beat the summer heat :o)!

I've had mine for a year now and fished out of it at least 50 days so I think it's time for a review. I mainly fly fish out of mine for trout, bass, and pike on lakes and rivers in northern Vermont. For a boat in its price bracket this has been great. You wouldn't want to stand in it, but otherwise I have no complaints at all. It's a simple, no-frills boat. It's pretty stable -- I got caught out in big whitecaps when the wind blew up on Lake Memphremagog and while it wasn't exactly fun I made it off OK. I've paddled some minor whitewater with it, and while that's obviously not what it's built for, it'll get you down a complication or two in your river. It's super easy to load up and go -- I get out way more often than I did with a trailered fishing boat. I can be about five minutes from getting the idea to go fishing to being out the door with everything I need. I'm a pretty heavy guy, 225-ish, and it floats me and my day's worth of fishing junk just fine. All in all I feel like the dollars this cost me were very well spent, and I use it a ton. I'd buy it again.

I bought this in store and am a beginner \"kayaker,\" and I absolutely love it. It's not too heavy but very sturdy and is extremely comfortable to sit in. Very stable on the water and it does perfect for both moving and still water. 100% would recommend it to a friend, and actually got two of my friends to get the same one.

Love this kayak, paddles like a dream, ample room, comfortable, stable, even for 8-10 hour trips. Actually a couple of my friends bought one too, let the summer fun begin.

I am an avid yakker. I bought this kayak a few days ago after doing tons of research. It seemed to have everything I was looking for (two fishing pole holders, two storage compartments), reliable brand, comfortable seat, and an affordable price. Couldn't be happier with it.

I have really enjoyed my Mustang kayak. My wife and I enjoy kayaking on lakes and reservoirs. I feel more stable and it is easier to paddle then the sit on top kayak I had.
