transitioned from an 8 footer this and love its stability in the water , weight to carry and load , and love its style . only downfall is placement of the handles at midcenter , make it awkward to lift .

I bought this about a month ago and have used it a handful of times since then. I bought my husband and I both one. It’s comfortable and the dry bag it comes with really helps (unless you get it soaking wet, then the things inside are going to be a little bit damp). My only complaints that keep it from being 5 stars is that the chair, if you adjust it too tight, the strap will come undone from the side of the kayak, and the foot pedals for balance are not adjustable. For my husband, they are perfect pedals, but for me I’ve noticed that I need a size in between the first and second pedal.

This kayak is by far the best in its class. Very stable rides great. Best of all dicks has it at a great price much cheaper than online stores and in stock.

I got a future beach trophy 10 ft fishing kayak 6 yrs ago and bought another brand same time as a beginner. Everyone now fights over the future beach trophy that I am looking at buying a couple more. Great for lakes and rivers with maneuverability not a problem. Been on some very shallow creeks and rivers with very few times had to get out of the boat. On the lake it’s nice to quit paddling and know where it’s going to take you because it tracks straight. Have been on choppy water right before the storm and although 2-3 ft waves are menacing and not for beginners it handles rather well. We didn’t plan on the storm it just rolled in fast. On smooth water I feel comfortable enough to stand in my future beach. Other fishing kayak not so much.

On the down side miner problems over the years. Handles are fraying. Will replace this year. Accessing anything in storage can be tricky if in water without a friend that can open rubber lids. Have heard don’t leave lids in sun because they rot, I never had that problem but don’t store outside.

I'm very pleased as this kayak fits into my minivan and away I go. I've been having fun rigging it for adventures. Added a skeg for tracking. Buy if you want an extra kayak. Great value. Understand that its no frills compared to high end craft. Light weight and easy to lug. Good beginner soy too

This is my wife's. She loves it. It is easy for her to handle and she feels \"safe\" in it. Oh, she thins the colr is pretty. Seriousely, it is a good kayak for her. It is easy to get on and off the car roof rack. I did call Pelican customer service to kinda test how responsive they are. A live oerson was on the phone promptly and politely answered questions and offered helpful information. We would buy another Pelican product... and... we often shop at Dick's.

Fabulous sale price ($150). Nice boat for the money, even if you pay full price. Costco comparable is $350.

had it out bass fishing a couple times already. was in it for hours and it was very comfotable.

I haven’t been able to use my kayak yet but am very excited to get on the water.
