Pelican Maelstrom Convertible Kayak and Stand-Up Paddle Board Paddle

I bought the kayak about a month ago and have used it 2 times on a local lake. I am a big guy, 280lbs. The kayak is very stable and glides well even with my weight. I had no issues with keeping it straight and it had a nice center of gravity. The kayak is a bit heavier than some but I had no issues carrying it.

I would buy another one!

Better than the open concept kayak just cheaper than this. This one collects water in the back cavity on the rivers. On the lake it’s great. The bag that comes with it is meh. In low moving water it bottoms out quite a bit where the next kayak up moves right through. Consider the fisherman one if you prefer moving waters.

Bought this 3 months ago, took it out numerous times. It’s a wonderful kayak with great storage. Did kayak camping and was able to fit all camping and fishing stuff (fishing rods could fit into the hatch storage) There’s no cup holder however there’s an accessory track on there where you’re easily able to install one in. We were able to fit 2 of these on the roof of my suv with no issues. Definitely a wonderful kayak.

I've only been out once, but really enjoyed it. My kayak was easy to navigate, stable and tracks well.

Very happy with this selection. I don't leave reviews enough, but I searched for a while before purchasing and read several reviews and wanted others to know how nice, sturdy and well made this kayak is.

Purchased this Kayak for my wife, she absolutely loves it. Plenty of storage, rod holders are a extra bonus also. Great buy!
